Common concern for a lot of PT\u2019s growing businesses\u2026<\/p>\n

Although I\u2019m not sure that I\u2019ve ever had the mis-pleasure of worrying over it.<\/p>\n

\"Shoulder<\/a>
\nHere\u2019s why:<\/strong><\/p>\n

From the moment I started my private, cash pay practice, I was focused on something much bigger and higher than just building a clinic that would take people out of pain\u2026<\/p>\n

I had a hunch from day one that people wanted a lot MORE than a \u201cmassage\u201d, some \u201cMcKenzie exercises\u201d, \u201cposture advice\u201d or dry needling.<\/p>\n

And it turns out I was right\u2026<\/p>\n

The foundation that my clinics success – and rapid growth – is built upon is the PERSONALITIES<\/strong> of the people I employ.<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s those personalities that combine to create an EXPERIENCE<\/strong> that is greater than the sum of any one of them.<\/p>\n

Meaning\u2026<\/p>\n

If one of my \u201crock star\u201d PT\u2019s wants to take off with a bunch of email address or telephone numbers from my EMR\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026it won\u2019t make a blind bit of difference (to me).<\/p>\n

My patients don\u2019t just come to the Paul Gough Physio Rooms<\/a> for physio\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026they come to be recognized, to be valued as people, to have the phone answered in three rings, to have their coffee made how they like it (without having to remind or ask), to continue the conversations about their grandchildren that started last time… and so on and so on.<\/p>\n

Basically, to leave with their physical and emotional concerns taken care of.<\/p>\n

And above all else, they buy into the certainty that comes from me establishing a BRAND that is 100% focused on the one thing that UNITES every business owner, every where in the world – *people*.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because it\u2019s the people that you serve that you should always be focusing on\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026and the minute you or I worry about that \u201crock star\u201d (a.k.a. pain in the \u201cass\u201d) PT, then we\u2019ve lost focus, and if we don\u2019t bring it back fast, then THAT’ll be the reason that a businesses will fail – or never get going in the first place.<\/p>\n

My tip:<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re ready for growth\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026find the best and most fun loving, out going, people orientated admin person who you can afford to pay – someone who can light up your reception area on a cold and wet Monday morning and who can bring a smile to the face of a prospective patient, who’s IN PAIN with sciatica, through a first time conversation over the phone.<\/p>\n

Hire that person BEFORE you do anything else…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because if you bring in the front desk person BEFORE you hire a staff PT, then you\u2019re already on track to creating an EXPERIENCE that\u2019ll be greater than the sum of its parts.<\/p>\n

Most people get the PT first – and that\u2019s because they\u2019re so focused on the money that they can PROVE he or she makes that owner, at the end of each week.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s called focusing on the \u201cshort term\u201d monetary gain\u2026<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s fine\u2026<\/p>\n

We have to do some of that\u2026<\/p>\n

But, the big (and lasting) victories go to the guys or gals\u2019 who are in this for the long haul and do the stuff that we know to be RIGHT, despite what the tight fisted accountants lady might say.<\/p>\n
