Something easy to consume with some ideas and advice on ways to ease their pain &#8211; it could be something about easing back pain, for example.<\/p>\n<p>When the person looking in the newspaper, on Facebook, in the yellow pages or receiving your postcard (the Media) sees the \u201coffer\u201d (of the free report), they step up and take action because they feel assured it is going to help them to live with less back pain.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/FREE-REPORT.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-661 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/FREE-REPORT.png\" alt=\"FREE REPORT\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/FREE-REPORT.png 560w, https:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/FREE-REPORT-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We call this getting the prospect to <strong>\u201craise their hand\u201d<\/strong> and in the beginning, we\u2019re <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">NOT<\/span> asking people to call to book an appointment.<\/p>\n<p>No&#8230; only to show us that they have a problem &#8211; one that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">we can solve<\/span> &#8211; and one that they are somewhat interested in getting a resolve for, sometime soon.<\/p>\n<p>It allows you to grow a relationship with that person &#8211; nurturing that person closer to your treatment room and to becoming a paying patient.<\/p>\n<p>And what it also allows you to do, is because you\u2019re beginning a relationship with that person, you can leverage that relationship to begin another relationship \u2014 <strong>with their DOCTOR.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One, that if you haven\u2019t been able to get to talk to or get referrals from in the past, might just give you the \u201cin\u201d you\u2019re looking for.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a process I discussed at length with a group of my coaching clients &#8211; each of who have PT practices from all across the U.S.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">Here\u2019s the question:<\/h1>\n<p>===<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><strong>\u201cPaul\u2026 say you get a lead from the newspaper, and they require a referral from a doctor, what do you do then?\u2026<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>===<\/p>\n<p>Simple. And <strong>unless<\/strong> your STATE is different from the rest of the U.S, you can do the first evaluation free &#8211; without a referral from a Dr.<\/p>\n<p>Then it would be really easy from then on\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Obviously you\u2019ll know who their insurance is &#8211; and the system that you have to follow through with that insurance company to comply &#8211; but even if they do need a referral from a medical doctor, that person will go to their doctor to get that referral &#8211; and ask to be seen by you.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019d be making the job of the MD so much easier too. After all, we all know that they\u2019re NOT overly qualified to be assessing things like low-back pain (\u2026and most of them feel uncomfortable doing it).<\/p>\n<p>And to ensure that happens, what you can do is give them a <strong>\u201creferral form\u201d<\/strong> to take to the doctor to ensure it comes back to you.<\/p>\n<p>In essence, you are \u201creverse engineering\u201d the process.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll build the trust with the client.<\/p>\n<p>Then you\u2019ll have it rubber stamped by a doctor who confirms that they need some help in the form of PT.<\/p>\n<p>I have client in Phoenix, if you go on his website &#8211; ** <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canyon-pt.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.canyon-pt.com<\/a>** &#8211; he has on there the referral forms that patients can print off and take to their doctor.<\/p>\n<p>And what you should also do is this:<\/p>\n<p>When the prospect calls and requests your free report, you post the free report out &#8211; and you include the referral forms as part of the \u201cwelcome\u201d pack<\/p>\n<p>You might say:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cIn anticipation of you coming to see me at my PT practice, here\u2019s the referral slip that you need to take to your doctor after the first free session we have together.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s all that you need to do.<\/p>\n<p>And what\u2019s more\u2026<\/p>\n<p>What my clients have really benefitted from most is this:<\/p>\n<p>When they get the \u201cleads\u201d responding to their ads, after they nurtured a \u201ctrust\u201d based relationship with that person, they are asking clients if he can go along with them to see the doctor.<\/p>\n<p>So he\u2019s using this \u201cLead Generation\u201d strategy to build relationships with doctors as well.<\/p>\n<p>And, if the prospect turns around and says to you:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHey my family Dr is Smith\u201d (who you don\u2019t know) &#8211; you might say (and this is the way you phrase it):<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cWould you like me to come with you to speak to that Dr to ensure I know exactly what he wants me to do for you?\u201d\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So if you\u2019re looking for an \u2018in\u2019 with more local doctors, this system and type of advertising gets you \u201cin\u201d the door.<\/p>\n<p>But remember the \u201cLead Generation\u201d process is all about<strong> \u2018trust\u2019&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The reason that prospects didn\u2019t pick up the phone or go to see a PT BEFORE they saw your advert is simply because of a lack of trust &#8211; and a lack of familiarity.<\/p>\n<p>With Lead Generation you are building this trust, you\u2019re earning it, you\u2019re nurturing it, you\u2019re getting friendly relationships with them and you\u2019re helping them make better decisions about their health &#8211;
