Most businesses are controlled by external circumstances\u2026<\/p>\n

It\u2019s why so many of the smaller operations fail, or just decide to pack up and leave when someone bigger like \u201cWalmart\u201d comes to town.<\/p>\n

Happens in PT land, too.<\/p>\n

A big hospital system arrives in town or expands by buying up family doctor offices \u2014 and the small PT owners are left to watch as a ONCE reliable referral source, dries up.<\/p>\n

And not long after, business is at that an all time low where it\u2019s actually more profitable to work for someone else.<\/p>\n

Not good.<\/p>\n

The real reason for this type of (now common) situation??<\/p>\n

Easy\u2026 no investment in marketing skills or training on the subject of sales.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s preceded by something called \u201cfailure orientation\u201d.<\/p>\n

A belief that failure is the only option in the face of such bigger competition.<\/p>\n

And yet amazingly, what usually happens when the \u201cWalmart\u201d equivalent of a PT clinic announces their arrival – the small town, independent PT owner FINALLY resorts to accepting they \u201cneed to do some marketing\u201d.<\/p>\n

And that Marketing, it usually goes something like this:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a PT, I\u2019ve been qualified for 10 years,
\nI have a premises, here\u2019s my number,
\nhere\u2019s where to find me, you should come and
\nsee me if you\u2019re in pain\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n

And guess what?<\/p>\n

Their ads are mostly ignored.<\/p>\n

Can you guess what happens next?<\/p>\n

They blame the \u201cMedia\u201d that they placed the advert in for it not working.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh I tried newspapers but it didn\u2019t work for me –
\nno body reads the newspapers anymore\u201d.<\/p>\n

Total nonsense.<\/p>\n

How about the advert that was placed had no target audience clearly identified, OR, a compelling \u201cmessage\u201d that resonates and connects with that \u201cWHO\u201d, making them more likely to want to respond to the offer.<\/p>\n

But the fundamental, real, often never pointed out fact that most advertising in the PT industry fails is for one of these two reasons:<\/p>\n

1.) The REASON the advert is placed is simply because someone showed up – i.e the Yellow pages man arrives and sells it on you.<\/p>\n

Or,<\/p>\n

2.) There\u2019s a shortage of patients that month and so the owner resorts to \u201cdesperation\u201d marketing hoping that a \u201cone-hit wonder\u201d advert will solve their problem.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s a problem not just because it\u2019s a waste of ad dollars\u2026 but because the business owner then resides him or herself to thinking that they\u2019ve tried marketing – and it doesn\u2019t work (for them).<\/p>\n

Thus, ruling themselves out of any future Marketing (and training) which, if done right, could very well solve their problems.<\/p>\n

Now to do that, you need a marketing plan.<\/p>\n

A System for acquiring NP\u2019s for as cheap is is possible.<\/p>\n

A \u201cLead Generation\u201d System, to be precise.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s marketing that is measurable.<\/p>\n

And is part of a sustained and on-going process of acquiring interested prospects – and then nurturing each one to the point of being ready to say to PT.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a powerful way of advertising.<\/p>\n

And its power isn\u2019t diminished by the presence of some clinic with a bigger advertising budget, either.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s more\u2026<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the same Marketing Strategy for PT clinic success that I\u2019ve used to dominate in my own small town selling against a \u201cfree health care system\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s the same marketing success system that I\u2019m teaching to other PT Owners all across the US.<\/p>\n
