Last week I was talking with one of my clients (from Philly) about something I believe to be a critical factor in PT clinic success… <\/p>\n

That being, the concept of \u201cowning the experience\u201d that patients encounter when ever they do business with us. <\/p>\n

Let me explain:<\/p>\n

A few years back I read the amazing biography of \u201cSteve Jobs\u201d written by Walter Isaacson.<\/p>\n

And one of the things that I took away from reading the book was \u201cJobs\u201d obsession with \u201cowning the experience\u201d of his customers. <\/p>\n

So adamant that he knew what was right for his customers, he refused to let anyone have the ability to mix what he termed \u201ccrappy software\u201d, with that of his amazing hardware. <\/p>\n

And so he LOCKED DOWN every single Apple device ever produced. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s the reason you can\u2019t, without bruce force, get into the back of an iPhone or Imac and why the Apple software and interface is so different from that of \u201cWindows\u201d. <\/p>\n

(Tis also the reason why iMacs get zero bugs or virus\u2019s – and Windows, well, do!). <\/p>\n

Now when \u201cJobs\u201d first did this, consumers hit the ROOF!<\/p>\n

Labeled him arrogant. <\/p>\n

And he risked a HUGE backlash from people who wanted to use his hardware and computers, but not his software. <\/p>\n

But he stuck to his beliefs. <\/p>\n

(Insisted to the shareholders that he knew his customers better than anyone). <\/p>\n

Who were his customers? <\/p>\n

Back then, just \u201c3%\u201d of the entire population likely to buying a computer. <\/p>\n

The result of \u201cowning his experience\u201d and understanding his customers better than anyone else? <\/p>\n

The most profitable company on the planet.<\/p>\n

Even though 97% of the population disagreed with what he did, he still made it work. <\/p>\n

So here\u2019s my question:<\/p>\n

How can you \u201cown your experience\u201d? <\/p>\n

Think, \u201cwhat if Steve Jobs was a PT Owner\u201d. <\/p>\n
