<\/p>\n<p>A \u201cnegative\u201d opinion of PT &#8211; and we\u2019re all affected by it! <\/p>\n<p>Even though, we know, labelling all PT\u2019s the same\u2026 is akin to comparing the meat from Mcdonalds, with that from \u201cMorton\u2019s\u201d, people still do it. <\/p>\n<p>Why they do it? <\/p>\n<p>Because to protect our self from harm &#8211; we\u2019re hard wired to say \u201cno\u201d, to just about anything (at first!). <\/p>\n<p>Whats more, finding any excuse possible to avoid making a decision is something that we humans continuously do to avoid getting it wrong. <\/p>\n<p>And because PT was \u201cbad\u201d before, we\u2019re able to rationalize away from ever having to consider that decision, ever again. <\/p>\n<p>(Some deep psychology there for you!)\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>Why I bring it up?<\/p>\n<p>Because it happened to a client of mine just this last week. <\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the story: <\/p>\n<p>So we ran an advert in the local newspaper promoting a freebie report.<\/p>\n<p>And many people called to request it (\u2026\u201dLead Generation\u201d at work). <\/p>\n<p>But there was this one lady (from Scottsdale, Phoenix) who called the number to request the report, (looking for help with easing her low-back pain), and yet abruptly ended the call when the voice on the answer machine said \u201cphysical therapy clinic\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>So what happened next, was this:<\/p>\n<p>Noticing no message had been left, my client re-dialed the number (we use call tracking) to ask why she didn\u2019t leave a message. <\/p>\n<p>Her answer? <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause you\u2019re a Physical<br \/>\nTherapist and I went to see<br \/>\none of those before and it<br \/>\ndid nothing for me\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>Irrational behaviour ? <\/p>\n<p>Absolutely \u201cyes\u201d!<\/p>\n<p>But, fortunately, also very predictable. <\/p>\n<p>And to get this lady on side, all this owner had to do was find out what the other therapist had done (\u2026or not done) in the past, and then clearly articulate why his services is &#8220;DIFFERENT&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>In this instance, his \u201cace card\u201d, was \u201cdry needling\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This lady had never heard of it. <\/p>\n<p>So when she was presented with the opportunity to try something \u201cdifferent\u201d, she took it!<\/p>\n<p>And within 2 hours &#8211; of her putting the phone down and not even being interested in a free report written by a PT &#8211; she\u2019s booking an appointment to see one. <\/p>\n<p>Surprised? <\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t be. <\/p>\n<p>I hear these stories all day long. <\/p>\n<p>Both at my own clinic\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2026And now in the clinics of the PT Owners I\u2019ve implemented a \u201cLead Generation\u201d strategy for. <\/p>\n<p>This lady was \u201cconverted\u201d simply because of a 10 minute \u201cfollow up\u201d call. <\/p>\n<p>Made possible by having the ladies contact details to be able to do it &#8211; and an understanding that if patients say &#8220;no&#8221;, it just means they have doubts that needed addressing, before they say &#8220;yes&#8221;!  <\/p>\n<p>Another example of why \u201cfree screen\u201d adverts or promotions rarely ever work. <\/p>\n<p>And even if they do \u201cwork\u201d, my bet is that you\u2019re missing out on a small fortune by ignoring all of the people who just aren\u2019t ready to buy from you now\u2026 but who would if you just took the time to answer some questions. <\/p>\n<p>Want to know more about how to do this in your clinic?\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Start here, with a \u201cStrategy Call\u201d with me where you and I will map out a plan for the success of your clinic:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \ufeff<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/strategy\" target=\"_blank\">Yes!
