etc.<\/p>\n<p>And that means the newspapers have space to fill &#8211; meaning you can get the positions in the paper you want (to boost response) but also, for much less cost than it used to be!<\/p>\n<p>So you\u2019re cost per acquisition of new patient, is going to be LESS!<\/p>\n<p><strong>The first thing<\/strong> you have to decide on, is this:<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Are you going for the \u201c<strong>Sales Model<\/strong>\u201d or the \u201c<strong>Lead Generation<\/strong>\u201d model?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>I\u2019d suggest<\/strong> if you\u2019re new to marketing, new to town or just starting to \u201cget your message out there\u201d and thinking of running your first ads .. then go of the \u201clead generation\u201d model where you give away something that is of interest to a prospective client &#8211; like a free tips report or eBook &#8211; and is likely to make the person reading your advert actually want to call your clinic to get it.<\/p>\n<p>With this model of advertising, you\u2019re NOT trying to get people to call and book appointments (\u201csales\u201d model!).<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p>Because it\u2019s just to difficult to make work &#8211; and often costly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All to do with \u201ctrust\u201d<\/strong> (or a lack of &#8211; at this stage of the advertising relationship!)\u2026 something that the big corporate hospitals get naturally, chiropractors have BOUGHT because of years of advertising and being clever with it &#8211; and the other, often much larger companies who you might be tempted to copy cat from, they\u2019ve probably got much bigger budgets than you and can comfortably afford to do it (and loose it!).<\/p>\n<p>You and I however, we need to follow the GOLDEN RULE of small business marketing success:<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Put $1 in, and very quickly get $2 out (if not more)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>And that\u2019s easily achieved if you follow these the rules of running \u201clead generation\u201d, direct response style ads.<\/p>\n<p>First, it goes without saying that your ads must NOT mention you, your clinic, or physical therapy, any more than is necessary &#8211; only to introduce you as the \u201creporter\u201d of the article, or to tell the reader of your \u201ceditorial style ad\u201d, why you\u2019re able to write such \u201ctips\u201d reports or eBooks credibly.<\/p>\n<p>See, it\u2019s an \u201ceditorial style ad\u201d that is going to get read &#8211; and more likely responded too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Something that might look like this:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Critique-Image-.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"  wp-image-132 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Critique-Image--300x208.jpg\" alt=\"marketing ideas for physical therapists\" width=\"394\" height=\"273\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Critique-Image--300x208.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Critique-Image--624x433.jpg 624w, https:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Critique-Image-.jpg 916w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 394px) 100vw, 394px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Doesn\u2019t immediately scream out \u201cadvert\u201d does it?<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s LOADED with words &#8211; i.e information!<\/p>\n<p>And by the way\u2026 no matter what any one tells you, there&#8217;s NO such thing as &#8220;too much information&#8221; &#8211; and especially NOT when you&#8217;re in pain looking for the right solution!<\/p>\n<p>This is information that COULD be useful to the person <strong>WHO<\/strong> you\u2019re writing it for &#8211; and who the <strong>headline should scream out too.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/my.leadpages.net\/leadbox\/145db6b73f72a2%3A1580dba8fb46dc\/5742796208078848\/\" target=\"_blank\">Click Here To Get Regular Tips To Boost Self-Referrals Sent To You &gt;&gt;&gt; <\/a><script src=\"\/\/my.leadpages.net\/leadbox-852.js\" type=\"text\/javascript\" data-leadbox=\"145db6b73f72a2:1580dba8fb46dc\" data-url=\"https:\/\/my.leadpages.net\/leadbox\/145db6b73f72a2%3A1580dba8fb46dc\/5742796208078848\/\" data-config=\"%7B%7D\"><\/script>In that last sentence, I&#8217;ve just told you about two components of successful small \u00a0ads. The &#8220;who&#8221; (the person the ad is for) \u00a0and the &#8220;headline&#8221; . But, those \u00a0on their own are not enough to make small ads work.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">See, there\u2019s actually 6 key commponents of<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">successful small ads.<\/h2>\n<p>And here they are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>1.) \u00a0<strong>Your Ad must talk to only ONE pocket of people<\/strong> \u00a0&#8211; i.e people age 50+ with back pain!<\/p>\n<p>2.) <strong>It must have a \u201ccompelling headline&#8221; &#8211; <\/strong>the job of the headline is NOT to sell anything,\u00a0only to<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0force the reader to want to read some more so that they make it to the next part of your ad&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>3.) \u00a0<strong>An irresistible offer<\/strong> &#8211; this could be a &#8220;free tips report&#8221; or a DVD<\/p>\n<p>4.) <strong>Strong, emotive copy<\/strong> &#8211; use words in your ad that speak directly to the hopes, fears and dreams of your potential new patient i.e. &#8220;Imagine how you will be in five years from now if you don&#8217;t get this back pain of yours sorted!&#8221;\u2026 (Who could ignore those types of words?)<\/p>\n<p>5.) \u00a0<strong>Time Sensitive\/Scarcity<\/strong> &#8211; no body wants to miss out on free help &#8211; if you&#8217;re giving away a free tips report, make it limited in number! i.e only 7 free copies available!<\/p>\n<p>6.) <strong>Strong Call to action &#8211; <\/strong>if you\u00a0don&#8217;t tell people what to do to get your offer, then they\u00a0won&#8217;t do it! So you must tell them to &#8220;call this number now&#8221; (or miss out!)<\/p>\n<p>So there you go\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The 6 key components of running small cost newspaper ads that get new patients to call your clinic, \u201cout of the blue\u201d!<\/p>\n<p>Follow the rules of <strong>\u201cdirect response marketing\u201d<\/strong> &#8211; like the most successful chiropractors have done for many years &#8211; and you\u2019ll be inundated with telephone calls from people suffering with injuries and problems <strong><em>that you can help.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Provide them with enough information about Physical Therapy &#8211; and it won\u2019t take long for them to decide that YOU are the right person to solve their problem.
