So I spent the weekend hosting a \u201cQ2 Mastermind Event\u201d here in San Diego\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u202639 of the worlds greatest Business Owners gathered together to discover what is truly possible for their business.<\/p>\n

What is the purpose of a Mastermind Event – as I see it??<\/p>\n

\u201cTo become AWARE of the things that <\/strong><\/em>
\nyou don\u2019t even know that are currently <\/strong><\/em>
\nholding you back from being successful <\/strong><\/em>in your business –
\n<\/strong><\/em>and THEN know what action to take once you do (become aware)”.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s also about being part of a likeminded community – here\u2019s how day 1 ended:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThat\u2019s us all at the drinks reception – my boy \u201cHarry\u201d included – all yapping about what had been covered in the day.<\/p>\n

One of the main topics we discussed?<\/p>\n

The idea that you \u201chave to sell yourself\u201d to patients, if you want their custom at your clinic.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The reality of that statement?<\/p>\n

Complete \u201cBS\u201d!<\/strong><\/p>\n

It comes wth the FALSE belief that people make decisions on things like your \u201cskills\u201d, how many CEU\u2019s you\u2019ve accrued, how many years \u201cexperience\u201d you have, how many awards you\u2019ve won and so on and so on.<\/p>\n

Now a lot of people will push back at this statement\u2026<\/p>\n

But, and to give it some context – when was the last time you got on an Aeroplane and asked the Pilot how many flights he\u2019s flown, how many hours in the flight simulator he\u2019s had, when his last training weekend was – or even, when was the last time he\u2019s actually flown this path you\u2019re going on.<\/p>\n

No body does that<\/strong> – and even if they do – there wouldn\u2019t be enough to run a profitable airline.<\/p>\n

How do we choose an Airline?<\/p>\n

On the final DESTINATION.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We pick the place we want to go – we find the Airline that seems to be able to fit our needs best – and book it.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s it.<\/p>\n

And so it is with PT\u2026<\/p>\n

Their decision to choose a PT (in the free market of direct access) is based upon their PERCEPTION of whether or not you can get them to their final destination (golf, cross-fit etc).<\/p>\n

The easiest way to change their perception?<\/p>\n

Talk about THEM.<\/strong><\/p>\n

(If the conversation is about you – you loose).<\/p>\n

So when it comes to \u201cselling yourself\u201d – lets turn it on its head\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026and make the \u201cselling conversation\u201d about them and the DESTINATION that they – the people you serve – want to get to.<\/p>\n

Do that, and watch how little energy you\u2019ll ever have to use in selling yourself.<\/p>\n
