isn\u2019t all that much of a phrase that you would ordinarily pay much attention to\u2026<\/p>\n<p>But with some context, it becomes so.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For example:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When it\u2019s said by the well-meaning secretary of an in-demand PT explaining why \u201c<em><strong>you probably won\u2019t get to see him after the initial Eval\u2019\u201d,<\/strong> <\/em>to a new patient calling\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2026then all of a sudden it\u2019s worth paying attention to what it means to the person hearing it.<\/p>\n<p>Or, more importantly, how it makes that person <strong>FEEL<\/strong> about doing business with you.<\/p>\n<p>Think about a typical patients journey\u2026<\/p>\n<p>They pick up the phone to talk to a stranger&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>They admit that they have a problem to that stranger (not easy to do\u2026)\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Then they are then told that the person they want to see CAN SEE THEM&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2026BUT, that it\u2019s unlikely to be for anything more than one session. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What\u2019ll happen next??<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Who knows&#8221;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>(They don\u2019t know either).<\/p>\n<p><em>Will I get the outcome? <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Will I be seen as many times as I need? <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Will I get the service that I\u2019m looking for? <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And you want me to pay &#8220;how much&#8221; out-of-pocket for this???<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And so it goes on and on &#8211; and on\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Doubts raised about the CERTAINTY in which the patient will get the outcome that they plucked up the courage to call for &#8211; and will have to *pay* for\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Value is something that a patient PERCEIVES.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a concept.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a feeling.<\/p>\n<p>And when enough of a feeling \u201cconjures\u201d inside, people take action &#8211; and sometimes do stuff they otherwise wouldn\u2019t&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s like I keep saying\u2026<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s NO money problems in this world\u2026<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a reason the US and UK collectively <strong>are in multi-TRILLIONS $$$ worth of debt\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s because people with \u201cno-money\u201d, often buy things based upon <strong>how the words of the people offering it to them made them FEEL.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>How are your marketing and office staff making your patients FEEL about paying your fees?<\/p>\n<p><strong>To wrap up:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The secret to cash-pay or self-referral success for ANY PT clinic, anywhere in the world, is found in the way that you are able to make someone FEEL about WANTING to do business with you\u2026<\/p>\n<p>It starts with what you say in your Marketing &#8211;
