Your Website IS Your Business<\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s amazing just how <strong>\u201cneglectful\u201d<\/strong> of their website many business owners are &#8211; in any industry, not just PT!<\/p>\n<p>Most won\u2019t, or don\u2019t want to accept it, BUT, <strong>your website IS your business.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With over three billion internet users worldwide (and with that number of users growing by as much as 10% each year)\u2026 if you don\u2019t have a good website that compels people to become paying patients, and multiple streams of getting prospects to land on your website\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2026Then you\u2019re missing out on a great opportunity to generate more revenue and profit for your PT clinic, as well as the golden area of opportunity to serve the 93% of people who are going to a doctor in pain, <strong>and still NOT leaving with a referral for PT.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Why is this?\u2026<\/p>\n<h2>2. Your Clinic&#8217;s Website Is The Profit Center To Your Business<\/h2>\n<p>Basically <strong>everything online is changing<\/strong> and just like the iPhone, the internet is rapidly evolving too.<\/p>\n<p>Your clinic\u2019s website now, is the <strong>profit center to your business.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once upon a time a website was just a sideline. It was something as a business owner you quickly set-up without much thought because people said you needed one.<\/p>\n<p>And you probably had a lot of people tell you that if your practice has a website that looks nice, is dressed with lots of fancy buttons and pretty pictures, then people would be calling your clinic and simply come to you\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>That\u2019s not the case.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Essentially your website, and the online presence that you have, is the defining presence of your business. Having an online presence where people can effortlessly find you \u2013<strong> is now critical to you serving more people.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>3. All Roads Lead Back To Websites<\/h2>\n<p>Just think about the process you go through before you make a decision about purchasing something, or handing your money over for a service\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>9 out of 10 purchase decisions lead back to a website.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you see something in a newspaper &#8211; <strong>you check it out online.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>See something on Facebook &#8211; <strong>you check out the website.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Want to buy something &#8211; <strong>you go to google and browse websites online before you purchase.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your patients are exactly the same &#8211; people make the same purchase decisions on a Physical Therapy Website as they do on any other industry website \u2013 <strong>and it\u2019s done more successfully by providing as much information as possible<\/strong> to help the customer make a BETTER more informed decision.<\/p>\n<p>So if you\u2019re not online, or your website isn\u2019t geared towards helping people make better decisions &#8211; you\u2019re losing out on a lot of valuable inquiries.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Your Website Is Key To Business Success<\/h2>\n<p>What a lot of people don\u2019t get, is that if their website isn\u2019t set up properly, it can be the one thing that\u2019s stopping you from making BIG money.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of clinic owners believe that the purpose of their website is to sell something \u2013 that people will find you online, and simply book appointments right away.<\/p>\n<p>And some people do\u2026 <strong>But the reality is, not many will.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Take this for example\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Did you know that <strong><em>less than 6% of all commerce is actually done online?\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And that <strong>a huge 85% of people who visit your website will leave and NEVER take any action?\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Think about that for a moment, just how much money could your clinic\u2019s website be losing you?\u2026 Thousands, upon thousands of dollars??<\/p>\n<p>And with less and less people being referred by a Doctor, and re-imbursement fees being slashed, you definitely can\u2019t afford to let this happen.<\/p>\n<h2>5. The Purpose Of Websites Has Evolved<\/h2>\n<p>\u2026They\u2019re no longer just for selling, or getting people to book appointments.<\/p>\n<p>Your PT website is there for people to make <strong>inquiries, to build trust and relationships, to establish authority and expert status.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>6. Websites Are No Good Just Looking \u2018Pretty\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Most PT websites are built to communicate with people actively looking for a PT clinic\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2026you now know that there\u2019s NOT that many, and that explains why so many business owners are so frustrated by the performance of their sites.<\/p>\n<p>And given that there\u2019s Physical Therapy clinics aplenty in your small town\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Screen-Shot-2016-08-12-at-16.56.08.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1145 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Screen-Shot-2016-08-12-at-16.56.08.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2016-08-12 at 16.56.08\" width=\"646\" height=\"369\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Screen-Shot-2016-08-12-at-16.56.08.png 646w, https:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Screen-Shot-2016-08-12-at-16.56.08-300x171.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Screen-Shot-2016-08-12-at-16.56.08-624x356.png 624w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 646px) 100vw, 646px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2026the chances of being successful just because you have a nice looking \u201cme-too\u201d style website all about you and your PT \u2013<strong> is slim.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Does that mean that having a website is a waste of time?<\/p>\n<p>Far from it\u2026<\/p>\n<p>It just means we have to design your website slightly different\u2026<\/p>\n<h2>7. You Need A CLEAR Message<\/h2>\n<p>Most websites start with something ego-centric with a message that\u2019s all about them, and how great PT is\u2026<\/p>\n<p>And of course you and I know that PT is what a lot of people need, but when most of the world have no idea what we do, it\u2019s vital that your website has to have a clear message <strong>about what you can do FOR THEM.<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Screen-Shot-2016-08-12-at-16.59.45.png\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p>An example of what mine is for the Paul Gough Physio Rooms?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Screen-Shot-2016-08-12-at-16.59.45.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1146 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Screen-Shot-2016-08-12-at-16.59.45.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2016-08-12 at 16.59.45\" width=\"899\" height=\"73\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Screen-Shot-2016-08-12-at-16.59.45.png 899w, https:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Screen-Shot-2016-08-12-at-16.59.45-300x24.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Screen-Shot-2016-08-12-at-16.59.45-768x62.png 768w, https:\/\/www.ptprofitacademy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Screen-Shot-2016-08-12-at-16.59.45-624x51.png 624w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 899px) 100vw, 899px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Which brings me onto this\u2026<\/p>\n<h2>8. Know How Your Patients Use Google<\/h2>\n<p>Think about someone with chronic low back pain right now\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do they use \u201cGoogle\u201d to solve their problem?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We know that most people are NOT searching for PT.<\/p>\n<p>So what are they searching for?<\/p>\n<p><strong>INFORMATION<\/strong> \u2013 in the form of ADVICE \u2013 on WHY their back pain is happening\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2026and THEN what they can do about it.<\/p>\n<p>So, how about we design websites to reflect what consumers are actually DOING and LOOKING for?<\/p>\n<p>(Rather than creating a site which is only about our services?)<\/p>\n<h2>9. The BIG Mistake A Lot Of PT\u2019s Make\u2026<\/h2>\n<p>\u2026With their website is this &#8211; t<strong>hey use a \u201cdone for you\u201d style<\/strong> company to design their website, who are WRONGLY assuming that anyone with low back, or knee pain etc, is thinking about choosing a PT.<\/p>\n<p>(And it\u2019s not their fault!)<\/p>\n<p>But nothing could be further from the truth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Google is a QUESTION engine<\/strong> &#8211; meaning most people who use it, do so to get ANSWERS to problems.<\/p>\n<p>I know for sure there\u2019s 100X more people in your town today typing \u201cback pain advice\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2026than typing \u201cgood physical therapist\u201d into their iPhone. .<\/p>\n<p>So, one of the easiest ways to boost response from your website is to design it in such a way that you\u2019re the one able to answer their questions.<\/p>\n<h2>10. A Great Tactic To BOOST Website Response<\/h2>\n<p>One of the biggest mistakes of any PT site is to ask people to<strong> \u201cBook An Appointment\u201d or \u201cSchedule Now\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You might get one or two people who are ready to \u201cbook now\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2026but you\u2019re NEGLECTING to consider the HUGE amount who aren\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>Asking me to \u201cbook now\u201d is like asking me to get married when we\u2019re on our first date.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You wouldn\u2019t do it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Better to ask people to MAKE AN INQUIRY which is much less of a commitment, and easier for them to do\u2026<\/p>\n<p>This \u201cBook Now\u201d issue explains in a \u201cNew York minute\u201d why so many owners look at their website, see that 400 people have been on the site, and yet only 3 people booked.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s less than a 1% response rate \u2013 which is TYPICAL FOR MOST SITES\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2026And yet on my site, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paulgoughphysio.com\/\">\u201cPaul Gough Physio Rooms\u201d<\/a>, we get anything from a 15-20% RESPONSE\/CONVERSION rate.<\/p>\n<p>Why?
