\u201cAnyone have experience working 5k’s or any other running\/triathlon type event? <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I feel like it\u2019s a great service, but feel like it wouldn\u2019t really have many people that end up converted to patients. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what I would say\u2026<\/p>\n

As always, it\u2019s always about the LONG GAME.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not just in doing community events, but with almost every business strategy you\u2019ll ever have to implement.<\/p>\n

I hear a lot of PT\u2019s say that \u201crunners just aren\u2019t in the zone to book PT appointments right after a 5k run\u201d\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2026and I agree.<\/p>\n

But almost 99.9% of the entire world are NEVER in the zone to book a PT appointment no matter if they\u2019ve done a 5k run or NOT.<\/p>\n

Think about it\u2026<\/p>\n

If a runner has crossed the finish line, chances are that other than a few aches and pains the next day, in all probability he or she\u2019s not going to need your services.<\/p>\n

But, there remains a few areas of often overlooked opportunity:<\/p>\n

\"community<\/a><\/p>\n

===<\/p>\n

– 1.<\/strong> If he or she is a keen runner – it\u2019s ONLY A MATTER of TIME before he or she does pick up an injury.<\/p>\n

(How many runners do you know who haven\u2019t EVER been injured???)<\/p>\n

– 2<\/strong>. If they\u2019ve done some sort of family, charity or fun run type of EVENT – then chances are:<\/p>\n

– a). They\u2019ll get the \u201cfitness bug\u201d for the next few months and inevitably end up with a lower back problem, calf strain or shin splints etc, or another type of injury that occurs when someone enthusiastically starts a fitness push their body isn\u2019t ready for\u2026<\/p>\n

– b). They don\u2019t get the fitness bug and they go back to their \u201csedentary\u201d lifestyle and end up with, at some point in their life, something like chronic lower back or neck pain.<\/p>\n

Either way, you want it to be YOU who they think of when it happens.<\/p>\n

How do you do that?<\/p>\n

Not by going and pestering everyone there to book an immediate appointment with you, that\u2019s for sure\u2026<\/p>\n

It goes back to Nurture Systems\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Collecting emails and telephone numbers in exchange for valuable information.<\/p>\n

Do you think almost all of the runners who cross the finish line of a 5k run, might be interested in something like a free tips report titled:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 7 top tips to stop the next day aches and pains that all 5k runners inevitably suffer from\u201d<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n

Of course they would.<\/p>\n

(Much more than your business card!)<\/p>\n

And you\u2019re happy to give it to them in exchange for their contact details, so that you can keep in touch and follow up with your marketing automation.<\/p>\n

That means while you\u2019re growing your business using things like Facebook, Google Adwords, Remarketing, running newspaper ads and building a brand on Social Media\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026that’ll bring in new patients today\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026you can rightly EXPECT many of these 5k runners to become patients at some point tomorrow – further down the line!<\/p>\n

This is how the most successful businesses on the planet think.<\/p>\n

One eye on today\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026the other on tomorrow.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the business owners who TRULY understand how how people make buying decisions that are WINNING right now\u2026<\/p>\n

The ones who want it to be how THEY want it to be, or how it USED to be, are losing.<\/p>\n

It’s that simple.<\/p>\n
